I am currently a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at KU Leuven with a secondment at the University of Cambridge. My current project is focused on the potential contemporary relevance of approaches to nature developed by classical German philosophers at the turn of the 19th century. I have previously held a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the LMU Munich.
My main areas of interest are philosophy of nature and metaphilosophy. I published a monograph on Fichte’s metaphilosophy (Olms) and edited a volume on the concept of nature in classical German philosophy (De Gruyter). I am currently working on a series of articles on Schelling’s philosophy of nature. My wider research includes environmental philosophy and philosophy of culture.
My recent articles include:
A Missing Link between Kant and Fichte. Ernst Platner’s Role in the Genesis of Fichte’s Genetic Method. In Journal of the History of Philosophy, forthcoming.
The Importance of Kant’s Schematism for Schelling’s Project of a Philosophy of Nature. In Archiv für Geschichte der Philosophie 106, No 1 (2024): 79-105.
